Yeah. It's really quite good. I'd recommend it; the rest of the series as well. My personal favorite is the fourth one of the series, Wizard and Glass, although I'd expect that you won't care styalistically for that one. _________________ "It ain't all buttons and charts little Albatross. Evidentally King really liked the person who did his audio-books (in both a personal and professional way). Unfortunately he got into a terrible car accident... either before or after... working on the fifth book (Wolves of the Calla), so somebody else does the last couple. He suffered extensive brain-damage and, I think, is catatonic or close-enough to it. All proceeds from the Wolves of the Calla Audio-book (and maybe others, I don't quite remember) go to a charity aimed at assisting disabled and injurred authors. _________________ "It ain't all buttons and charts little Albatross. No. But it was in the afterword of Wolves of the Calla, at least in the Hard-Cover. _________________ "It ain't all buttons and charts little Albatross. You know what the first rule of flyin' is?... Really?
Huh.
I started The Hobbit on CD today. Much preferable to the radio. As far as audio books goes, it was either that or some of my dad's historical books, and I was in the mood for a fictitious narrative. _________________ "It ain't all buttons and charts little Albatross. My reading speed varies greatly; not just from work to work or author to author, but even within a given body of text. There's never any clear indication of how long something will take me to read, because that depends so exclusively on the style in which it's written, the characters involved, the subject its based upon, the plot it follows, its complexity (as in how much and carefully I need to pay attention) and even a number of outside factors (such as other stimuli, sleep deprevation, etc...). _________________ "It ain't all buttons and charts little Albatross. What I do know, however, is that I invariably read faster than the lethargic pacing of the audio-readers. _________________ "It ain't all buttons and charts little Albatross.
