When writing narrative portions of your prose, how much time do you spend describing the thoughts and feelings of your characters? Does it change depending on POV?

I keep it short and sweet. I've always felt that it should be obvious to a reader how a toon feels, without needing to belabor it. And yep, if the POV changes, it's the same.

But how many short and sweet descriptions? You can mention a person's feelings in one line or phrase, but then do that sort of mentioning after every new line of dialog or twist in the scene.
