If you've never read this book, or had no clue where the opener comes from, then how does it strike you? If you had only this opener to go on, would you read more? Does it grab you and spur you to read on? Or does it leave you unenthusiastic?

Zombies! I haven't read the book, but in my younger days I would probably pick this up. Actually, it almost sounds like "Spawn" which I did enjoy. _________________ Douglas E. Gogerty

This opener carries the possibility for an interesting voice. But it also displays some cliched elements. I wonder how they would play out, whether the intrigue of the voice would win out over the cliche. In other words, I'm on the fence. _________________ Violet "Violanthe" Kane
