It's possible, considering how big and high-tech TV's are getting. But I still like the option of going to the theatre. There's just something about that popcorn...

The bad thing about the theatre is that there are always children crying, cell phones ringing with those obnoxious electronic tunes, people yacking, and heads that always seem intent on blocking my view.

I used to go to the cinema now and again to see a film because I wanted to hear it in the original language. In Switzerland on the tv the films are usually dubbed in German, french or Italian. Over the years improvement was made in the sound system and now we have the choice over the loudspeaker in original language or dubbed. I naturally prefer English, as my husband (although he is Swiss) which means that I don't really go the cinema any more.

I certainly hope not. But it would help if movies were less expensive.

We've got a couple of really cheap theaters in my hometown where you can see new movies for $3 or $4. The difference is that they show them after they've left the main theaters. At a time when it's costing over $5 to rent a new release, I prefer the theater.

We have a cheap theater in my city, but it's off in the suburbs so it's hard to get to very often.
