See if you can guess the author and book this opener comes from:

"My suffering left me sad and gloomy."

If you're stuck, try the included link to Amazon.

Life of Pi is correct!

I haven't read it myself, but there is a new audiobook out, so I've been tempted to give it a look.

Vio, I can highly recommend the audio version of the book. We checked it out of the library a couple of years ago to listen to on a drive across country. Got so engrossed in the book that we had to force ourselves to stop a sight see in Glacier and Theodore Roosevelt National Parks.

I'll have to check it out. I never read the book, itself, and the concept didn't grab me. But since it's on audio, I'll probably check it out eventually.
