Hi

I enjoyed the mag and i like to read the reviews. However i have to take mild, slight exception ( if i may) to the review of Shadow of the Torturer. As this book was originally published in 1980 i dont think it can be used as an indicator of the health of the current alternative fiction scene 26 years later. Of course this is just my own opinion.

Thanks for the feedback. I can see where the review might be ambiguous. I suspect it was probably a reference to Wolfe's state as a currently-publishing author as well as a more recent "classic", as well as to its continued popularity. But I agree that the wording could be clearer.
