PostExhaustive Fantasy Reading

https://vanderworld.blogspot.com/2006/04/exhaustive-essential-fantasy-reading.html

Echoes David Pringle's 100 Best Of books a little.

There's definitely some interesting books in there. There's some stuff in there I've read that I found unreadable rubbish too, like Disch's 334 and Kafka's The Trial.

Interesting stuff.

Definitely a great reading lists. Hard to make one exhaustive, though. There's still a lot of titles out there that I would consider essential

Oh I'm sorry you didn't like Kafka's "The Trial" -- I love that story. In fact, I love all Kafka's work. Maybe you should try his "Metamorphosis" -- you might like it better!!

If I could read Kafka in his original German or Czech, it may be better. But I've read his stuff in English and found it nondescript.

It's one of those things, I guess.

Vandermeer's list is one of the better ones I have seen on the web , he just failed to include himself - he is a terrific author.

Interesting list. I've only read one book on that Top 60 list and honestly have only heard of three others.

Have you tried checking the box when you log in that says "Log me in every time I visit" or somthing to that effect? It works quite well for me. The login utility is a little buggy. I don't know why, but it sometimes takes two tries to log in.
