Brokeback Mountain, I thought, was the best of the year. Crash comes in a close second. Those two were far above their competators, although the rest I will mention I thought were incredible films. Other honorable mentions, in no particular order, were Capote, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, King Kong, Memoirs of a Geisha, Serenity, Sin City and A History of Violance.
Crash was an incredible movie. I saw it several times and almost cried each time (The only movie I ever cried in was Little Princess, and I'd appreciate it if this is never mentioned again. ). My sister actually DID cry. My dad liked it so much that he rented it several times before buying it. _________________ "It ain't all buttons and charts little Albatross. Excellent movie, good choice. I saw it with my sister. The nearest theater that was showing it was about 45 minutes away, and when we got there we had a bit of a dilema. Legally, if who you're with is not over 21 and you're not 17 you can't see the movie. Well, this was in December/January (either very end of the latter ot very beginning of the former) and my seventeenth birthday wa in February, and my sister was 19 (20 in March). Luckily they didn't ask to see any ids.

We'll keep your secret. I cry every time I watch Dumbo. I can watch people get torn to bits but I turn into a suck when animals get hurt, even animated ones. |

I definitely liked the movie..but it surprised me. It was a quieter movie than I expected. Vio's comment was it was one of those less is more movies. The scenery was breathtaking..and the actting was excellent. |
